Terms of use

Agreement to these terms
By creating a TrakBuk account or using TrakBuk in any way, you agree to these terms. If you are using TrakBuk on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms for that business. If you do not agree, do not use TrakBuk.
What TrakBuk is
TrakBuk helps you understand your spending by importing bank statement files (CSV, Excel, or PDF) that you upload yourself, alongside cash entries you record manually. TrakBuk does not connect directly to your bank, does not move money, and does not initiate payments or transfers on your behalf.
Accounts and workspaces
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your password confidential. A workspace owner may invite other people as editors or viewers to a business workspace. The owner is responsible for who they give access to and at what level. When someone is removed from a workspace, the records they added while a member remain in the workspace, but their own access ends immediately.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload statements or data you are not authorized to access.
- Use TrakBuk for any unlawful purpose, or to store or process funds belonging to someone else without their consent.
- Attempt to bypass workspace permissions, tenant isolation, or other access controls.
- Probe, scan, or interfere with TrakBuk's infrastructure, or attempt to extract another customer's data.
- Reverse engineer or resell access to TrakBuk without our written permission.
We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate this section.
Accuracy of imported and categorized data
Statement parsing, automatic categorization, recurring-payment detection, and spending insights are produced by automated best-effort processes and may contain errors, especially for statement formats TrakBuk has not seen before. Always verify figures against your actual bank statement before relying on them. TrakBuk is a tracking and awareness tool, not financial, tax, investment, or accounting advice, and using it does not create an advisory relationship.
Your data
You own the financial data you upload or enter. We process it only to provide the features described in our privacy and data retention policy, which explains what is stored, for how long, and how to delete it.
Pricing
TrakBuk is currently free to use while we build toward a v1 release. We have not yet decided on a pricing or billing model. This section will be updated, and you will be notified in advance, before any paid plan, subscription, or charge is introduced. Nothing in these terms currently authorizes us to charge you.
Ending your account
You may request deletion of your customer account at any time from Profile. Deletion requires email confirmation and then enters a seven-day recovery period, after which your account and its financial data are permanently removed. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, or that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently or unlawfully.
No warranty
TrakBuk is provided "as is." We do our best to keep it accurate, available, and secure, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of important financial records.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as TrakBuk changes. If a change is material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you before it takes effect. Continuing to use TrakBuk after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Questions about these terms can be sent to us from within the app, or to our support email once one is published.
